As a newbie in the blogosphere, I have been told that the ‘about me’ page is essential in establishing to the readers what kind of blogger I am. As I am yet to discover what label I might fall under, I will try to avoid coming off too pretentious.
I am about to embark on my long-awaited exchange year adventure, and thus decided to use this medium to update friends and family at home (and whoever else might find my journey of interest). My home institution, Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), courteously allowed me to study a semester in Hong Kong – yes the Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. However, before being studious I will embark on a minor journey with my travel-buddy, Mette Nielsen, which will look a little something like this:
Moscow-Mongolia-Beijing-Shanghai-Hong Kong (+ all the extra journeys which will present themselves to myself and my travel-partner in crime).
I will do my utmost in trying to capture some of the memories, give handy tips and pass on knowledgeable facts. However, I also guarantee elaborate ranting.
As with so many other things in life, humanity has fabricated do’s and don’ts for blog-writing. I will undoubtedly include all the don’ts and disregard the do’s, but despite such worrisome blunders, I hope this blog won’t be too much of a waste,
Ps. Since finding internet connection will be somewhat of a mission during my travels, the blog may at times seem a little dead :( I therefore invite you to take a look at the TurtleTalk page, where my boyfriend Gideon will provide his own set of rants and joyful musings, ensuring that the blog stays alive. He’s also the creative mind behind the visuals for this blog. Enjoy! :)
